Bilingual Resources

At Sacred Heart Area School, we understand the importance of a welcoming environment that supports all families, including those who speak Spanish. We are committed to fostering a nurturing space where every child can grow spiritually, academically, and socially, while celebrating their cultural background. Our bilingual resources are designed to support your child's success and ensure that language is never a barrier to their education. Whether you're new to the area or seeking a better educational environment for your child, we offer tools, guidance, and a warm community to help your family thrive. We invite you to explore the resources available and join our close-knit, faith-filled school community.

Principal’s Bilingual Support

As the principal, I am fluent in Spanish and dedicated to supporting Spanish-speaking families. I am here to assist with any questions or concerns, ensuring clear and open communication while fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment. Serving as a bilingual liaison, I help bridge the gap between families and our school community by translating important information, school updates, and meeting notes. I also provide support during parent-teacher conferences and other interactions, ensuring that Spanish-speaking families are informed, valued, and actively involved in their child’s education.

Welcoming Environment

Our small-town school is committed to creating a warm, supportive environment where all families, including Spanish-speaking families, feel valued and part of the community.

Culturally Sensitive Support

Our school provides access to support services that are culturally sensitive, ensuring that bilingual children receive the help they need both academically and socially.

Classroom Bilingual Support

Teachers use dual-language instructional materials and strategies to support both Spanish-speaking and English-speaking students, fostering an immersive learning environment where all students can develop language skills and thrive academically in both languages.

Bilingual Homework Support

Although not all staff members are fluent in Spanish, I am available to help coordinate any additional support your child may need with homework or other schoolwork.

At Sacred Heart Area School, we are deeply committed to ensuring that Latino families feel not only welcomed but celebrated as an integral part of our community. Your children are not just welcomed here—they are supported and empowered to thrive academically, spiritually, and socially in a nurturing, faith-filled environment.

For Students & Teachers

Hallow ~ in Spanish

All students and their families have access to Hallow, a powerful resource for prayer and faith formation. To make Hallow even more accessible, families can change the app's language to Spanish. Here's how:

  1. Update the App: Ensure your Hallow app is up to date by checking your app store for the latest version.

  2. Navigate to the Me Tab: Open the app and select the Me tab located at the bottom right corner of your screen.

  3. Access Settings: Tap the gear icon in the top right corner to open the Settings menu.

  4. Choose General: Select the General option from the settings menu.

  5. Select Your Language: Choose Español as your preferred language, and enjoy Hallow in Spanish!

We encourage families to explore Hallow together, deepening their faith journey with prayers, reflections, and resources available in their preferred language.
